Car industry has dynamically developed the electric car segment. One of the main aspect is the search for innovative solutions in the field of lightweight structures. Thus many ideas have been made to replace conventional vehicle suspension by the use of a flexible wheel rim. Based on the existing concepts testes have been carried at to develop a new design of the susceptible rim using the TRIZ method as well to compare the properties of tested concepts under given load conditions and to examine vibration characteristic of each concept with is fundamental in suspension design. By the use of INVENTOR software 3D models have been created also the criterion analysis of all concepts have been done. In addition a static simulation of the load conditions have been performed. Thanks to that, spring constant has been determined. For each case a mathematical model of vibration damping have been created using MATLAB simullink software. The obtained results have been analyzed using TRIZ method to create a new innovative lightweight suspension concept. Moreover the suspension quality and energy loss analysis have been performed to examine influence of dampers for motion resistance. All of presented examinatations give necessery data in order to future design a new hybrid lightweight structure wheel.
