Nowadays it became impossible to talk about device related hazards, unless we consider a whole system in which the device is used. Complexity of modern devices makes it crucial to analyze not only their usability and reliability, but also the way they interact with environment. This includes how they support operators in performing their tasks correctly or minimize the adverse results of tasks performed incorrectly - misuses. It is particularly crucial for physiotherapeutic engineering domain, where most accidents and device incorrect use or error usually imply that patient's health is at risk. To thoroughly analyze the results of using physiotherapeutic devices, one needs to consider not only the device design itself but also whole range of human and environmental factors that influence the course of the device usage. Presented in this article approach is an attempt of developing a systematic model to identify misuses of physiotherapeutic devices application.
